  • An outdoor memorial: a white stone bust of the Greek revolutionary Kostas Velis, moustached and wearing a slanting cap and traditional vest, crowning a tall square-cut stone pillar. The pillar's front carries a marble plaque reading 'ΚΩΣΤΑΣ ΒΕΛΗΣ 1770 - 1821 / ΚΗΡΥΞΕ ΤΗΝ ΕΠΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΗ ΣΤΑ ΑΓΡΑΦΑ / ΜΑΡΤΥΡΗΣΕ ΥΠΕΡ ΠΑΤΡΙΔΟΣ' — Kostas Velis, 1770 to 1821, he proclaimed the revolution in Agrafa, he gave his life for the fatherland — with a smaller relief-carved plaque of a battle scene above it. Behind, a stone masonry wall is strung with two rows of blue-and-white Greek flag bunting, and two dried olive wreaths with blue-and-white ribbons lean against it either side of the pedestal.
